So help me, Jesus

Things I learned or had reaffirmed while scouring every radio station from Plainfield to Queens:

Kelly Clarkson > Boston
Uncle Kracker > Nothing
Shakira isn't that bad
Toadies are still relevant
Van Halen > Van Haggar
People only seem to remember "Dancing in the Dark" when it comes to Bruce Springsteen
There are worse songs to overplay
As long as Led Zeppelin is still getting airplay, things will probably be okay
There is an intro to some Foreigner or Boston or whatever sucky band of the era song that is actually pretty dope. Then, however, the song comes in and it is ruined.
The jury is still out on AC/DC

  1. If you were listening to X103, I'd be surprised if you didn't catch an Alice in Chains or STP tune.

When I was in Portland, I heard Nirvana on the radio at least 10 times. I also heard "Hurt" (NIN) at least twice. Then at night once, they were playing Dillinger Four.

    I miss IN radio.
